Maxwell's Story

The tiger who came to tea what happened, he was so hungry. First Sofie and mummy were having tea when there was a knock at the door, it was a tiger. Sofie let the tiger in next, when he came in he said "I'm hungry may I have tea with you?" Sofie said "Yes would you like a sandwich?" "Yes please" said the tiger. But instead of taking one of the sandwiches he ate all of them then he ate all of the buns and the cake finally he ate everything in the kitchen and fridge and all the water in the tap. i thought that...i like the story because it's funny! 

My Year Movie :)

 Hi everyone, so since I didn't go to camp, I had to make a movie about this year what happened this year, I made a movie with the app WeVideo its very useful when it comes to computers or chromebooks or laptops!

I hope you enjoy my movie!

I hoped you enjoyed my movie this took me more than a week to make!

I learnt how to like change backgrounds and move and type texts.

I think it was a good idea to present this way.

Finding photos and videos was the hardest.

To be honest I have no questions.

I would add more videos to improve.

Weekend Recount

 Hey bloggers, hope your doing good, so I didn't go to camp because I had my appointment and a lot of other stuff. Here it is!

                                The Adventure

BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, my alarm goes off very loud, I go to the bathroom and take a nice refreshing shower, after I get ready for the day my mum mentions that my appointment is at 9 am! So I quickly brush my teeth and brush my messy hair, “Get in the car right now, we need to drop off your sister!” Then I hopped inside the car and my shoes weren't even on properly! I put on my seat belt and put on my shoes the right way. As I enter the main hospital I start getting worried of what's going to happen, we ran into a worker and we also forgot the way to the children's hospital so we asked him, all he replied was follow me i'll lead you there, so me and my mum followed him all the way to the children's hospital, as I step in the nurse immediately starts calling me, so me and my mum followed her into the room, in the room I had to take off my warm jacket and my super cool sneakers, but I had to because I was about to find how much I weighed and to check my height. Then the nurse told us to continue waiting in the waiting room. A doctor named Matthew did my echo.

We finally arrived home. But uh oh I have to do a blood test! It hurted so bad I nearly cried, after the blood test me and my mum went to go get sushi num num num.

Ring ring, goes the cellphone, as I pick up the phone to answer the call I notice it was my younger cousins, they were calling me to see if I was going to do Trick or Treating, I hung up the phone and decided to text them to say “no I am not going Trick or Treating” then they replied “oh okay”

After Mya arrived from camp we started texting each other then we decided to call each other, and I agreed, while we were calling she insisted that I download a game called Cookie Run Kingdom, she also mentioned that I had to go through a long tutorial, the tutorial really did take forever! Then she showed me a video of her kingdom and I was so impressed and amazed by her kingdom! She must have been playing it for a very long time.

Week 1 - Camp

Hey bloggers, I hope you have had a great holiday and spent time with friends and family.

Lets move on to this weeks reading! 

For the 1st create task we had a map and on that map we had to add our own turtle and we had to draw the key in certain place

For the 2nd create task we had to make our bunk labels for camp, we had to write our names however we wanted to and then we design the label! This create task was extra fun!

And last but not least the 3rd create task, for the 3rd create task we had to pick something to study or find out more about, for me I picked Albatrosses, before I say anything else her it is!

Rata and the Totara Tree

WALT: Analyse and evaluate the actions and story lines of Maori myths and legends. 

Hello bloggers, I hope you have a great day, this week is Maori language week this week so we had to do Maori books, the one i chose was Rata and the Totara Tree, this journal is about Rata who cut down trees without saying a prayer.

The first create task i about analysing your story into different parts like characters, problems, actions, settings, feeling and conclusion 

The second create task is about a statement my one was "Rata should have been punished for his mistake" and I have to give reasons why I agreed and disagreed, here it is!

Born to Run!

WALT: Locate and summarise important information from a range of related texts. 

This week we did the same this as last week, the Olympics, except I picked the book Born to Run, it's about Arthur Lydiard coached Peter Snell, Murray Halberg and Barry MaGee, and how he developed his way of coaching. 

We had to do 3 create tasks, the 1st one is making a poster about the Olympian of your choice, the 2nd create task is about picking a country that is competing in the Olympics and find 20 facts about the country, and for the 3rd create task we have to write a persuasive argument to a country on what they should do with their leftover Olympic Village

In China for Diving their final score is 12.

 For China in Weight lifting their final score is 8.

 In Table Tennis their final score is 7. 

For Shooting their final score is 11. 

In Artistic Gymnastics their final score is an 8.

 In Swimming their final score is a 6. 

In Badminton they got a score of 6.

In Athletics they got a score of 5.

 For the Canoe Sprint they got a 3.

 In Trampling their final score is a 3.

In Rowing they scored a 3.

 In Sailing they scored a 2. 

 In Fencing they scored 1.

 In Track Cycling they scored a 1. 

 In Wrestling they scored a 4.

 In the Artistic Swimming they scored a 2.

 In Boxing they scored a 2.

Winter Learning Journey - Activity 19 & 5

 This afternoon we chose 1 activity for Winter Learning Journey, I chose activity 19 which means I had to pick city/town to stay for 2 weeks and I picked Apia which is in Samoa! Take a look and see what I'm going to be doing!

Here is Activity 5, activity 5 is where you interview a family member and ask them what their favourite place in the world is and I asked my younger cousin, lets see what he picked!

Hi Blogger, this week I have been learning about famous people so this week I picked Thomas Edison, Thomas Edison was the original person who made light bulbs! For create task 1 in the 1st block I had to describe Thomas Edison, and in the 3rd and 2nd I had to make a connection! On to the tasks!

 Hello Bloggers! Today during Cyber smart we were looking at Private or Personal information, and knowing the difference between the two and to help yourself safe online.

I found doing the tasks wasn't challenging be it got to think a lot, it also took me a while, because then after putting those little boxes in it's place we also had to give it a reason why.

Now I'm gonna rate it out of 5, I rate it a 5/5 I was learning and discovery a lot!

 Hi Guys, so here is my first create task, in the next blog my create task 2 and maybe 3 will be on there!

So there is a teenager her name is Anne Frank and she was born in a Jewish Family which means people were after her and her family but luckily they had a little hideout to live in, they were hiding for 2 years! On Anne Franks birthday nobody remembered so she sneaked out  bought herself a diary and she has kept it ever since!

The Empty Pot

WALT: Make connections between ourselves, other texts and the world.

 Hey Bloggers, this week for my book choice I picked The Empty Pot, it's where there is this boy that comes with an empty pot to the competition but he still won because he told the truth. The WALT is about about making connections to ourselves and the world and texts and movies.

Here are the create tasks that I have done this week!

Create Task 1 is where I make connections to myself other texts (movies included) and the world, I finished this task in 1 day!

 

Down here is create task 2! For create task 2 it was a Venn diagram, which means I had to get the main character of my book choice with is Ping and Camilla Cream from a bad case of strips then I had to compare the similarities  and the difference!

And now last but now least create task 3! For create task 3 I had to create a poster or animation of something familiar in my text and I did People Lying! Check it out!

So there was 4 create tasks but I didn't finish since there wasn't enough time which is completely fine because I finished 3 of them!

The Hungry Wave!

 WALT: use prior knowledge when making text-to-text connections.

Hi Bloggers, I'm back! This whole week my book choice was the hungry wave the book is about on the 29th of September 2009 a tsunami struck Samoa and Tonga. Now lets talk about the create tasks. Remember the time I told you I had to make a summary about the complementary and challenge text, and then I had to talk about the problem and solution and the characters. Well yeah I had to do that again. But for the 2nd create task we had to make a poster about the natural disaster in our text, my one was about a tsunami.  Last but not least create task 3, for create task 3 we had to make a Wigram Press, it's kind of like a newspaper but it's called a Wigram Press. Now that I've talked through the tasks and what I had to do let me show you!

Hello everybody, this week I had to finish 3 create tasks this week and I actually finished all of the tasks I will show you below the description. I really hope you guys enjoy!!

Create Task 1

This is my first create task, in the first box I had to do the characters, the setting, the problem and the solution and in the second and third box I talked and summarised the complementary and challenge text!

I had to imagine to be the editor and I could change the end of the story! I wanted to change the way how Abena doesn't have listen to the longest story!

I had to be a police officer and ask the main character (Abena) 5 questions!

Smart Passwords W9 T1

 Hello everyone, today we did cyber smart and what we learned in cyber smart is strong passwords and very common passwords I also had to do separate tasks. 

That even I had to make some passwords, the common passwords were (animal)2021, password, (colour)2021, 1234.

And these passwords are great to use when your thinking of a password and its not so basic.

Today we are gonna learn about how a comment can affect someones feeling's. 

So if you wanna make people be happy then treat them like how you would like to be treated and don't forget commenting horrible things, can also hurt other peoples feeling's because other people work really hard to publish their post but people are getting hurt because they take about an hour to publish this and people say horrible things about the post and their feelings get hurt.
